TDR partner John M. Fitzgerald has been named a director of the Appellate Lawyers Association, an association of lawyers who practice in the courts of review and judges who serve on those courts.
Fitzgerald also serves as co-chair of the Appellate Lawyers Association’s Rules Committee, which meets several times a year to review proposed changes to existing rules and new rules of the Illinois Supreme Court, to the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure, and to the Seventh Circuit’s local rules. The Rules Committee also formulates new rules or changes to existing rules to resolve particular ambiguities, issues and problems incurred under existing rules, and submits such proposals to the Appellate Lawyers Association’s Board of Directors for its consideration.
