On January 1, 2025, TDR elevated long-time TDR attorneys Michael J. Grant and Brian C. Haussmann to equity partners of the firm, a milestone that resulted from their tremendous dedication to the firm’s clients and their extraordinary contributions to the firm and the profession.
“The promotions of Michael Grant and Brian Haussmann to our law firm’s equity partnerships are truly causes for celebration” said Gino DiVito, one of the firm’s co-founders. “They have been primary contributors to the growth and success of our firm. And they have contributed much to the aura of family that makes TDR a great place to work. That awareness, and the skill and integrity they bring with them, are primary reasons for the trust of our clients, judges, and even those with opposing views. Mike and Brian, we celebrate you and look forward to even greater successes for you, our family, and our clients.”
Mike Grant joined the firm in September 2002 as one of its first associates. He has been with the firm for over twenty years. In that time, he has contributed to many of the firm’s greatest successes. Mike’s practice includes complex business litigation, class-action litigation, professional malpractice litigation (insurance brokers, accountants, and real estate brokers), employment contract disputes, and corporate insurance recovery. In particular, Mike is a leading authority on policyholder insurance recovery and insurance broker professional liability. He has collected millions of dollars in insurance proceeds for corporate insureds and has helped some of the nation’s largest insurance brokerages to manage their own risk. Mike has tried cases to verdict before juries, judges and arbitrators. You can learn more about Mike here.
Brian Haussmann has been with the firm since 2008 and has been a partner since 2012. Brian focuses on disputes between owners and other stakeholders in privately held businesses. He often litigates and resolves disputes involving the dissolution of private companies (so-called “business divorces”), partner, owner, and shareholder rights, fiduciary duty claims, corporate governance, fraud and other business torts. Outside the firm, Brian also currently serves on the boards of Legal Aid Chicago and the Chicago Bar Association. You can learn more about Brian here.
Both Mike and Brian exemplify TDR’s standard of excellence and their commitment to the firm’s clients, their colleagues, and our profession.
TDR congratulates Mike and Brian on their achievement and welcomes them to the firm’s leadership.
