TDR partner Kyle Cooper recently secured a $1.16 million judgment for a client in the Circuit Court of Cook County arising from the misappropriation of company funds.
In addition to entering judgment in our client’s favor, the Court awarded post-judgment interest and imposed both a constructive trust and an equitable lien over assets traceable to the misappropriated funds, including investment real estate.
The decision highlights the availability of powerful equitable remedies in cases involving fraud and misappropriation and enhances our client’s ability to enforce and collect on the judgment.
